Lecture “Fixed Income and Derivatives Market in China” Was Held

Mr. Qin Long, Assistant General Manager of the Fixed Income Department of China Merchant Securities, made a lecture entitled “Fixed Income and Derivatives Market in China” to the students of the School of Economics and Management, UCAS on August 23.

 

Qin Long first introduced the development of the fixed income market in China, and described the present market supervision and market structure. He pointed out that the credit debt had developed rapidly since 1990. The market become bigger and bigger, and there appeared more and more innovations in Varieties and terms. The size of local government debt had grown tremendously since 2015. The national debt, financial debt, and credit debt had formed a situation of tripartite confrontation. After that, Qin Long introduced derivatives market and treasury bond futures, including the main types, terms, historical volumes and prices. He also introduced two interest arbitrage strategies, futures spot arbitrage strategy and calendar spread arbitrage strategy.

 

After the lecture, the students present communicated with Mr. Qin and everyone said that they benefited a lot from the lecture.
