Professor Shi Jianming of Tokyo University of Science, made an academic report on "The Latest Development of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Methods"

On the afternoon of March 22, Professor Shi Jianming of Tokyo University of Science was invited to give an academic report entitled "The Latest Development of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Method" to the faculty and students in the first conference room of Building 6, School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

After reviewing 20 most cited articles in the European Journal of Operational Research over the past 40 years, Professor Shi sought out the most promising and valuable research direction, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). He then briefly introduced the classical DEA models proposed by scholars over the past 20 years, such as the CCR model and the BCC model. The new model maintains weak monotonicity and unit invariance, and is a measure with good properties. Through numerical experiments, Professor Shi Jianming pointed out that the new model can give a better improvement scheme than the traditional model. Finally, Professor Shi Jianming pointed out three directions for future DEA research, including finding a measure method with strong monotonicity, designing efficient model solving algorithm and empirical research of the model.

After the lecture, teachers and students enthusiastically asked Professor Shi Jianming questions. Everyone expressed that the lecture was rich in content, professional, and beneficial.
