MBA Students Visited Taiwan Normal University

On the 5th of July, 2015, MBA students, under the leadership of Prof. Gong Qiguo, Executive Director of MBA Center, went to National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) for a visit of one week. The visiting group was warmly received by School of Management, NTNU.

 

NTNU arranged four lectures for our MBA students. The first lecture was given by Prof. Chen Ligui from School of Arts. He developed the lecture from the angles of culture classifications and leadership, and interpreted the similarities and differences of the Confucianists, Taoists, Mohists,and Legalists.The lecture not only deepened sutndents’ understanding of Chinese culture, but also applied the ancient thoughts into modern enterprise management.   

 

The second lecture was given by Prof. Dong Zeping from School of Management. His lecture centered around the following five parts: aesthetic economy and the ear of culture and creativity, the rise of cultural and creative market of China, advantages and opportunities for the mainland and Taiwan, competition and cooperation strategy analysis, conclusion. He introduced the definition, content, and the added value of life cycle of cultural and creative industry, and interpreted the value of knowledge economy through cases.

 

The third lecture was given by Prof. Xiao Zhongqian and Prof. Li Hepu. Prof. Xiao shared his insights on innovation and entrepreneurship and training of way of thinking. Prof. Li concluded the advantages of combining the art and business nature of music. Students understood the enormous economic and value of culture industry and the driving power for social progress through cases.

 

The fourth lecture was given by Prof. Li Zhenming from School of Management. He compared styles and paintings of different art masters of different times in Taiwan, and passed the idea of culture to all the entrepreneurs seated.

 

After the lecture module, the visiting group were also arranged to visit enterprises in Taiwan. Prof. Chen Dunji, Dean of School of Management, NTNU, accompanied the visiting group in person. They visited ASUS, the leading IT enterprise in Taiwan, and Taiwan Franz, which made china. The visiting group felt the social responsibility undertaken by the enterprises and the beauty of china. They all said that they would always remember this meaningful visit to Taiwan.
