Introduction

School of Economics and Management, formerly known as the Management department founded in 1986, is the first school established at  GUCAS ( which changed her name to UCAS in 2012) in 2001. The renowned economist Siwei Cheng served as the first dean of the school.  Professor Shouyang Wang was the second dean. At present, Professor Yongmiao Hong is the dean of the school.

 

The school has always been striving to be a first-class research-oriented school with significant international influence. With years of effort, the School has already taken a nationwide leading role in several research fields. One of the biggest advantages and special features of the School is interdisciplinary education which benefits from the integration of schools and institutes in CAS’s system. Integration of schools and institutes facilitates fusion of scientific research and teaching. The school is committed to acquiring a deep understanding of China’s economic development theoretically and practically, and expanding its teaching and researching fields based on its unique features.
