Dean Cheng Siwei and Executive Dean Wang Shouyang Visited Singapore, Malaysia, and India

From Feb. 13 to 22, Dean Cheng Siwei and Executive Dean Wang Shouyang were invited to visit several universities in Singapore, Malaysia, and India.

 

They visited Nanyang Technological University(NTU) on Feb. 13 at the invitation of Prof. Xu Guanlin, President of NTU, and Dean Cheng delivered a speech entitled China Economic Reform Outlook. More than 300 people attended the seminar. Dean Cheng’s speech was highly appraised by the audience. Zaobao Singapore, Singapore Business Times and CCTV reported the news.

Cheng Siwei and Wang Shouyang also communicated with Prof. Er Meng Hwa,the vice president of NTU, and the dean of its School of Business. NTU said that they would love to strengthen the cooperation with School of Management, UCAS.

 

On Feb. 14, Dean Cheng was invited to give a lecture in Universiti Malaya. The lecture was entitled China’s Economic Development and Prospect for Cooperation between China and Malaysia.

 

 

On Feb. 15, at the invitation of Prof. Noor Azizi Ismail, Dean of School of Management of Universiti Utara Malaysia, Dean Cheng Siwei delivered a speech entitled China’a Economy and Development of Malaysia. More than 100 audiences were present at the speech. Dean Cheng had a talk with prof. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, President of the university. They came to an initial agreement for cooperation in student exchange, joint research, and EDP programs etc.

Dean Cheng and Prof. Wang visited Indian Institute of Technology Delhi on Feb. 19, and had a talk with Prof. Kanlika T. Bhai, Dean of Department of Management. Both sides hoped to cooperate in MBA student exchange, faculty exchange, and joint research in the future.

 

On Feb. 21, Dean Cheng delivered a speech entitled From E-Commerce to V-Business at NIIT(National Institute of Information Technology) in India. President S.Sadagopan hosted the lecture.

 

Dean Cheng talked about the evolution from E-Commerce to V-Business, research fields and key problems to be researched, and the development of virtual business in China. The wonderful lecture won warm applause from the audience.

 

Dean Cheng and Executive Dean Wang also discussed with professors of the school about future cooperation.

 

At the invitation of Prof. Naresh Chandra, President of the University of Mumbai, Dean Cheng and Executive Dean Wang visited the campus of the university, and had a talk with the president. They discussed on cooperation in doctoral students education, faculty exchange, joint research, and joint seminars, etc. Both sides wished all-round cooperation in the future.
