Students of School of Management Visited TWSE

Led by Vice Dean Dong Jichang, students of School of Management visited TWSE (Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation) on the 14th of July. They had a discussion with Mr. Lin Huodeng, General Manager of TWSE and other experts on the developing history of enterprises and development trend of finance in Taiwan area and mainland China.

In the talk, Lin Huodeng introduced TWSW first. TWSE was set up on Oct. 23, 1961 and started business on Feb. 6, 1962. After half a century’s time, it has formed a regular organization structure and comparatively perfect regulations, attracted a great number of excellent enterprises and investors, and made great contributions to the economy of Taiwan. At present, many enterprises from the mainland are coming to Taiwan to invest, meanwhile, a lot of Taiwan enterprises have gone to invest in the mainland. There are more and more communications between Taiwan and the mainland.

The two sides also discussed on similarities and differences of the developing history between Taiwan enterprises and mainland enterprises. Other topics such as Internet finance, big data, and cloud computing were discussed, too. Taiwan experts thought that Internet finance would be the trend of the future though there were such problems as supervising system, risk management, and employment that needed to be solved together by the government, enterprises, and market.
