Executive Vice Dean of School of Management, Prof. Wang Shouyang, accompanied by the other three Associate Deans, Prof. Zhao Hong, Prof. Shi Yong and Prof. Wei Xianhua, visited College of Business, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on April 10th.
Dean of College of Business, Prof. Yan Houming and other two Associate Deans, Prof. Dou Wenyu and Prof.Xie Junlin, received the delegation from School of Management and arranged a meeting with the delegation.
Prof. Wang and Prof. Yan first introduced the academic background, the faculty and the international cooperation of each school respectively; and then they discussed about how to make the world a better understanding about the features of the Business Schools from both Hong Kong and Mainland China. They believed that establishing communication platforms for different business schools, founding academic journals, and jointly designing the executive management training courses will be the potential approaches.
The two sides intended to deepen the cooperation in the near future. Students and staff exchange, joint scientific research, joint PhD programs and Executive Development Programs will be the beginning of the in-depth cooperation.
The delegation from School of Management also met with the Head of five different Departments, they are, Prof. J. Leon Zhao, Head and Chair Professor of Department of Information Systems, Prof. Frank Chen, Acting Head of Department of Management Sciences, Prof. Su Chenting, Head of Department of Marketing, Prof. Yin-Wong Cheung, Head and Chair Professor of Department of Economics and Finance, Prof. Jeong Bon KIM, Head and Chair Professor of Department of Accountancy. They exchanged an in-depth understanding about the education mode and research projects.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the new building and facilities that College of Business will apply.
