School of Management Signed Agreement of Joint-PhD Program with Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Executive Vice Dean of School of Management, Prof. Wang Shouyang, accompanied by the other three Associate Deans, Prof. Zhao Hong, Prof. Shi Yong and Prof. Wei Xianhua, visited Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on April 11th.

 

The delegation from School of Management visited Faculty of Business mainly for attending the signing ceremony of the agreement of Joint-PhD program between two sides. Through this agreement, School of Management and Faculty of Business will set up a Joint PhD Supervision Scheme of research collaboration.  

 

Executive Vice Dean, Professor Wang Shouyang and Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Zheng Dazhao signed the agreement on behalf of each school. After signing the agreement, Professor Zheng Dazhao announced the first phase of the joint doctoral program was officially launched. Executive vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Wu Yueliang, and Dean of the School of Management, Professor Cheng Siwei, sent letter of congratulations to congratulate the launching of the joint-PhD program.

The launching of the joint-PhD program means the cooperation between two sides has entered into a more substantive stage. As early as 2005, the two sides have signed the general memorandum of cooperation. They believe that this cooperation will be conducive to the future development and further cooperation.

 

The delegation also met Prof. Cheng, the Chair Professor of the School of Accounting and Finance; Prof. Li, Head of the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies; Prof. Lo, Prof. of the Department of Management and Marketing and had in-depth exchanges with them. They intend to have some in-depth cooperation in student and faculty exchange, research cooperation, EDP and other aspects in the future.
