Representatives from University of Groningen Visited School of Management

Associate professor Taco van der Vaart, and research coordinator Rina Koning from Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen visited School of Management on November 12th. Deputy Dean, Professor Zhao Hong, Assistant Dean, Associate Professor Ping LV, Associate Professor Qian WANG, and International Cooperation Office received the visit.

Their visit this time is mainly for interviewing the new applicants of the UCAS-GRONINGEN cooperative Double PhD and Triple degree program. In the year 2013, there are totally 6 applicants from School of Management. Among which three of them will finally receive the offer from University of Groningen and they will go to Netherlands to further their study in September 2014.

 

After the interview, the two sides had a meeting together. They discussed the status-quo of the Double/Triple Degree Program. The Dutch side is quite satisfied with the students from School of Management. Ms. Koning, who is in charge of the student issue in this program at University of Groningen, reported some feedbacks from the Dutch Professors to Prof. Hong Zhao. Professor Zhao showed her gratitude to the effort from University of Groningen, and further asked about research situation of the students.

 

Subsequently, the two sides discussed the possible further improvement of the program. They both proposed that, based on this program, the two sides could also have future collaboration in joint-research, joint academic conference organization, and faculty exchange.

 

The meeting ended in a pleasant atmosphere.
