On October 2nd, the list of newly added TWAS academician was issued on the 24th TWAS Academician Conference. Professor Huang Jikun, was elected as TWAS academician because of his extraordinary contributions to Agro-economy management.
In the year 2013, there are only two candidates in the field of social and economic science. One is Prof. Huang Jikun, the other one is Prof.Kaushik Basu, professor in Cornell University, a world famous economist and the chief economy consultant of India.
