On the afternoon of April 6th , Aierken Tuniyazi , Vice President and member of Standing Committee of Party Committe of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Liu Yanmei , Deputy Secretary in General; Zhang Xiaolei ,Deputy Party Secretary and Director of Science and Technology Department of the Autonomous Region, Dean of Xinjiang branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Mou Zhenjiang, Party Secretary and Associate Dean of Xinjiang Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences ; Liu Zhimin, Director of Resources Allocation and Management Division of Ministry of Science and Technology, visited doctoral students of Xinjiang Class in School of Economics and Management of UCAS and had a cordial discussion with the students. Dean of the School of Economics and Management of UCAS, Wang Shouyang together with Associate Dean Dong JiChang and Deputy Party Secretary Tang Hongjun played host to Vice President Aierken Tuniyazi and his party.
Dean Wang Shouyang welcomed the visitors first, and thanked them for their concern to the doctoral students of Xinjiang Class in UCAS. Dean Wang said the Xinjiang class project had made great achievements. All the class doctor candidates were outstanding. The school was proud of them. The students had experienced high pressure, but they still made great achievements by overcoming all kinds of difficulties in study, work and life. He hoped the students to make greater progress under the support of Department of Organization of Xinjiang Autonomous Region Party Committee. At last, he thanked Xinjiang Autonomous Region Party Committee and Government for their long term support to the project and wished the project be better and better.
Vice President Aierken Tuniyazi expressed his thanks to UCAS in helping Xinjiang’s talent cultivation. He said the minority high-level-talent-training project had been successfully operated by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Xinjiang Autonomous Region Party committee for seven years. More than 100 people had been trained. 46 of them had graduated with a doctor degree. Some of the graduates had become scientific research leaders in research institutes and universities; some had been in the management team in enterprises. They have played an important role in their respective positions. Aierken Tuniyazi said Xinjiang Autonomous Region was currently facing rare opportunities for development, and the biggest bottleneck is the talent bottleneck, including the lack of party and government leadership team, enterprises management team, technical professional team. It had been a major problem placed in front of development. Doctoral students of Xinjiang Class were all from Xinjiang. They would like to stay, to contribute, to play a good role in building Xinjiang. The talent training project should be kept for long term run. Finally, Aierken Tuniyazi encouraged the students to cherish the opportunity to study in UCAS, to take full advantage of it, to live up to the expectations of their family, their employers, the school with excellent achievements.
