On March 15, 2021, a donation ceremony was held at the School of Economics and Management (SEM), University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Hebei Shichuang Information Technology Co. Ltd endowed “Shichuang” Professor Studio to SEM and Jianping Li was appointed as “Shichuang” Chair Professor. This was the first time for SEM to set up the title of Named Chair Professor, and Jianping Li became the first Chair Professor at SEM, meanwhile, Shichuang Technology became the first enterprise to set up named Professor Studio at SEM. Professor Shouyang Wang, Dean of SEM, chaired the donation ceremony and delivered his appreciation to Shichuang Technology for its support.

Professor Jianping Li is the doctoral supervisor of SEM, UCAS, a specially appointed researcher of CAS, and the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He also serves as the executive member and the Secretary-General of the International Academy of Information Technology and Quantitative Management (IAITQM), Vice Chairman and Director of Youth Working Committee of China Association of Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, and Executive Editor of Chinese Journal of Management Science, etc. His main research areas are Risk Management, Big Data Management Decision. He won the honors of "China Youth Science and Technology Award", "National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Researchers", "Excellent Tutor of Chinese Academy of Sciences". More than 130 papers of his have been published in academic journals at home and abroad. He also won 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes of provincial and ministerial Natural Science / Technology Progress Awards.

The establishment of the named Professor Studio is an innovative measure taken by SEM to promote the construction of disciplines and the construction of its talent team. SEM will carry out development strategy consultation and technical guidance for the named enterprises, and jointly train innovative scientific and technological talents with the enterprises as well.
The establishment of the "Shichuang" Chair Professor and "Shichuang" Professor Studio is the first step of SEM in exploring the introduction of social resources to promote the discipline construction and talent introduction. It is also a very important step. We hope that this innovation mode will attract more outstanding scholars and social resources to SEM and help the school to move towards a new high-quality development.
