On June 4, 2021, the delegation of the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law, led by Xinyu Li, Party Secretary of the Business Schoo, paid a visit to SEM and discussed in depth with SEM regarding the " Siwei Cheng Modern Finance Elite Project" (hereinafter referred to as the Elite Project). SEM Dean Yongmiao Hong, Professor Hong Zhao, Professor Lingling Zhang, Professor Yingjie Tian, Associate Professor Ying Liu attended the meeting.
Dean Hong extended a warm welcome to the guests, and systematically introduced the history and discipline characteristics of SEM. Secretary Li introduced the situation of the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law and the discipline system of undergraduate and graduate students, and focused on the learning goals, education quality and achievements of the "Elite Project". The "Elite Project" was named after Siwei Cheng, the first Dean of SEM, UCAS. Both schools jointly selected high-level experts to jointly undertake the education of financial talents. The program had enrolled students since 2012. Secretary Li proposed to expand the cooperation between the two schools to more disciplines such as economics and management based on the "Elite Project".
Dean Hong supported the suggestion of the two schools continuing to jointly hold the "Elite Project". He pointed out that the "Elite Project", as a high-end talent education project jointly organized by the two schools, was of great significance to the undergraduate enrollment and teaching of economics and management majors in SEM in the future. He stressed that SEM and the Business School of China University of Political Science and Law wer very complementary, and was full of confidence in the in-depth cooperation between the two schools.
The participating experts spoke successively. Based on the "Elite Project", they had in-depth exchanges in the construction of teaching and scientific research team, the application of high-quality courses, the cooperation of scientific research projects, the holding of academic forums and so on.
