On June 20, 2021, the 20th anniversary of the founding of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "SEM") was grandly held in Zhongguancun campus. Leaders of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(UCAS), representatives from other universities and enterprises in China, leaders of departments of UCAS, representatives of CAS Institutes, teachers, students and alumni of SEM gathered together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the school.
At the celebration ceremony, Chunli Bai, former President of CAS, and Xin Fang, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CAS, and Yanfen Wang, Executive Vice President and Deputy Party Secretary of UCAS, delivered their congratulating speeches. Representatives of more than 40 universities at home and abroad came on site or sent their congratulatory letters.
The awarding ceremony of " Siwei Cheng Education Award" in 2021 was held on the celebration conference. The winners of "Siwei Cheng Excellent Teacher Award", " Siwei Cheng Excellent Scientific Research Achievement Award" and " Siwei Cheng Excellent Student Award" received their certificates and souvenirs. The conference also presented the outstanding contribution award to Shouyang Wang , the former Dean of SEM and thanked him for his outstanding contributions to the construction and development of the school. At the same time, the conference awarded the faculty and staff who had worked in the school for more than ten years and twenty years, and thanked them for their consistent dedication over the years.
Representatives of many enterprises also came to the celebration and sent congratulations to the School. Excellence in Trust donated 1 million RMBYuan to the School for its development and construction. Shanxi Dadi holdings donated 5 million RMBYuan to jointly establish "Shanxi Dadi Professor Studio" with the School. China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. and China Life Asset Management Co., Ltd. cooperated with the School to establish graduate internship and case study bases. SEM Henan Alumni Branch and Tianjin Alumni Branch were also established at the celebration conference.
In the afternoon, the dean's forum was held. It brought together more than 20 presidents and deans of universities and schools to talk about the development and construction of China's Economics and Management under the new liberal arts background.The principals or editors-in-chief of more than ten well-known Chinese academic journals gathered to make suggestions on how to innovate and develop high-quality economic and management journals in the new era.Innovation and development forum invited 5 leaders of enterprises to share their experience and insights, hopeing to provide a good platform for the in-depth integration of innovation management practice and academia.Three alumni salons gave alumni opportunities to make in-depth communication in artificial intelligence, industrial finance and innovation and entrepreneurship. In the evening, the School held a wonderful celebration party.
