In March 2022, Prof. Yongmiao Hong, Dean of the School of Economics and Management (SEM), University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and Alexander G. Welzl, President of the Austrian China Data Analysis & Research Hub (CDA), signed a memorandum of cooperation on behalf of the two parties.

Both sides agreed to work together to strengthen the systematic sharing of China EU bilateral (multilateral) economic and scientific activities, and reached an agreement on cooperation in promoting scientific research and academic exchanges, strengthening mutual visits between teachers, students, researchers and administrators, strengthening teaching, scientific research and internationalization. Both sides agreed to share cutting-edge innovative content and scientific resources in the field of Social Sciences, jointly undertake academic projects and participate in domestic and international academic activities, exchange relevant experience in education and teaching, and actively promote scientific and educational cooperation.

Alexander Welzer, President of CDA, is a famous scientist in the field of biology and environment. He also enjoys a high reputation in the fields of innovative research, capital market, digitization and sustainable development. In January 2022, CDA and The Association of MBAs (AMBA) jointly held an online seminar to discuss how to cultivate business leaders in the 21st century from a Chinese and Western perspective. More than 100 participants from business schools all over the world attended the meeting. Dean Yongmiao Hong was invited to make a keynote speech at the meeting.
