On 22 September 2022, the 20th "China's Most Influential MBA Ranking List" jointly prepared by the World Executive Group and the World Entrepreneur magazine was released in Shanghai. SEM ranked in the top four, and won the special award of "China's Most Creative and Influential MBA ". SEM’s MBA program of "Artificial Intelligence and Application" won the award of "China's Most Distinctive MBA", and "Digital Transformation MBA Program" won the award of "China's Most Potential MBA for Featured Direction".
The purpose of "China's Most Influential MBA" is to interpret the latest development trend of world famous MBAs and the influence of Chinese local MBAs, and provide the professional managers, enterprises and students with effective and objective information guidance. In the process of making the list, the sponsors insisted on the concept of marketing and customers first, focused on the brand marketing concept of customer satisfaction with "commodities/merchants" as an important evaluation standard, and assessed the brand of the school, social influence, faculty, students’ satisfaction, enterprises’ satisfaction, student quality, teaching quality and other indicators. Among them, enterprises' satisfaction with MBA graduates and students' satisfaction with MBA educational institutions account for a large proportion.
Steve Woolgar, Chairman of the academic committee of the World Executive Group and professor of University of Oxford, Saïd Business School, believed that MBA education has its own uniqueness. In terms of education, it should be different from economics and management in teaching methods. MBA should focus on enterprise behaviors, pay attention to the combination of theory and practice, aiming to cultivate professional managers. Jean Claude Larreche, a professor of marketing at the Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires, believes that the courses of the world's leading business schools have not changed significantly in the past 60 years. Therefore, the brand differentiation of business schools is crucial.
