CEFS Released 2023 China’s Economic Forecast and Outlook

On January 12, 2023, the press conference of 2023 China's Economic Forecast and Outlook and China's Economic Development Forum, sponsored by Center for Forecasting Science of CAS and co-organized by China Science Publishing & Media Ltd. and SEM of UCAS, was held at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS.

 

 

Professor Wang Shouyang, Director of CEFS, delivered a welcome speech at the press conference, and Professor Yang Cuihong, deputy director of CEFS, released the main prediction results on behalf of CEFS.

After that came the China's Economic Development Forum. 3 experts were invited to share their opinions on the economic development of China in 2023. Mr. Li Xuesong, Director of the Institute of Quantitative & Technological Economics (IQTE), CASS, stated the key issues that need to be paid attention to in China's economic development in 2023. Mr. Zhu Baoliang, Chief Economist of the State Information Center, introduced the situation of China's current economic development from the aspects of output gap, supply and demand, and deeply analyzed the main problems existing in the current economic development. Professor Hong Yongmiao, deputy director of CEFS and Dean of SEM, elaborated the importance of expectation and expectation management for economic policy, and proposed how to do a good job to stabilize market expectations.
