Prof. Liu Xielin Headed a Research Group to Survey Photovoltic Enterprises in Jiangsu

 

On March 1st and 2nd, the research group led by Prof. Liu Xielin, at the invitation of Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, surveyed numbers of Photovoltaic(PV) Enterprises in Jiangsu and attended Nanjing Technology Enterprises Forum. The members of the research group include Mr. Cheng Peng, an Associate Professor at Beijing Forestry University, Ms. Lv Ping, an Associate Professor at the School of Management, and as two PhD candidates as well, Gao Wei and Gao Taishan. 

 

In the morning of March 1st, the research group listened to the reports of the enterprises in Jiangsu Conference Center, and conducted an in-depth discussion about the R & D motive mechanisms and personnel training mechanisms with the twelve participating enterprises, including NARI Technology Development Co., ltd, SUNPOWER Group Ltd, and Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group etc. The participants all believed that a good environment for innovation created by the government is the most favorable condition for enterprises to actively engage in scientific and technological innovation activities.

Research Group from the Schol of Management at Jiangsu

 

In the afternoon, the research group went to Yangzhou to survey JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd about the company’s production workshop, solar equipment, product development, and its integration strategy etc. Prof. Liu provided a number of suggestions for the enterprises to actively respond to the PVdual (anti-dumping, countervailing).

 

On March 2nd, the research group went to Changzhou to survey Trina Solar and EGING PV, and attended the opening ceremony of Trina Solar Energy National Laboratory. A detailed survey was conducted on Trina Solar’s industrial chain, vertical strategy, international strategy etc. The president of Trina Solar, Gao Jifan, also presented a report about how PV enterprises deal with the PVdual. Finally, the research group provided a number of suggestions about the issue.
