On the 18th of March, led by Prof. Pen Geng, a group of MBA students from the School of Management, GUCAS had a field trip to San Yuan Group Dairy Industrial Park, which is located at Yinghai town, Daxing District, Beijing.
Upon their arrival, the students were quite amazed at the large scale of this park that covers an area of 300 acre, a building area of 70000 square meters. Following the guidance and detailed introduction of a guide, the students toured the park section by section and got to know the whole process of diary production. From material quality inspection, disinfection sterilization, diary production to the final filling, the production process appears to be high efficient as information and auto-management systems effectively connect the various processing stages and integrate them into a whole.
Everyone is surprised by the scale and degree of informationization and industrialization of San Yuan Group, since the auto-production system helps San Yuan Group effectively reduce its production costs since only a limited number of operational staffs are required for the whole system.
Following the visit of production line, the Deputy General Manager primarily responsible for the operational department introduced their rigorous quality control system and corporate social responsibility system, which all impressed the students deeply.
After the field trip, the utilization of modern management techniques in San Yuan Group enables the students to understand how the theories they learned in books are applied in the practice.
