Prof. Kwok-kee Wei from City University of Hong Kong lectured at School of Management

On May 21, at the invitation of Dean Cheng Siwei, Prof. Kwok-kee Wei, Dean of College of Business, City University of Hong Kong, lectured to our faculty on how to become a first-class business school.

Prof. Wei stared his lecture from the international accreditations that the College of Business of CityU passed, and based on the experience of accreditation of the College of Business, he explained in details the requirements of the three recognized accreditations for business schools, namely, AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Prof. Wei said, the whole process for the accreditation was quite painful. It was like pregnancy-very tiring, and very hard. But there were also great gains. Every worked hard towards a common goal. The research, quality of teaching and quality of students were greatly improved and the school became more and more influential.

 

The faculty presented at the lecture were quite interested in what Prof. Wei said and put forward a lot of questions about international accreditation. Prof. Wei answered the questions one by one. Meanwhile, he offered some suggestion on the accreditation.
