LAITQM (International Academy of Information Technology and Quantitative Management) was founded in Omaha, U.S. on June 3, 2012. More than 50 scholars from China, the United States, the Great Britain, Australia, Korea, Japan, Holland, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Lithuania and Turkey attended the founding conference.
The conference was jointly held by CAS Research Center on Fictitious Economy and Data Science, Chinese Society of Management Modernization, University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska Peter Kiewit Institute. Prof. Shi Yong presided at the conference. He looked back the whole process from the early preparations to the foundation of the academy and reported the regulations, journals and logo designs of the academy. Prof. Shi Yong was also elected as the chairman of the academy.
During the session, each committee conducted heated discussions regarding the topics of international conferences, publications, academic rewards and cooperation, etc. As discussed, the first international information technology and quantitative management conference would be held in mid-May,2013 in Suzhou, China.
