On the afternoon of Jan. 6, 2013, the second lecture of Siwei Lecture Series was held at the conference hall of AMSS. Prof. Fang Xin, the deputy party secretary of CAS, made a report on carrying out the documents of 18th representative congress of the Party. The report was hosted by Prof. Wang Shouyang, the executive dean of School of Management.
Prof. Fang Xin is a famous scholar in the field of scientific and technological policies and innovation management. She is also a member of Science Academy of the third world. Prof. Fang is also Chairman of Academic Degree Committee of Management Science of UCAS and a teacher of School of Management of UCAS.

As a representative of the 18th party congress, Prof. Fang Xin attended the congress. She first introduced the general situation of the congress. Then she explained what she was going to talk about. Her report was composed of three parts: stick to socialism with Chinese characteristics, change the way of development and carry out innovation-driven development strategy, and deepen science-technology system reform and fasten the construction of national innovative system.
The Audience
At the end of the report, Prof. Fang expressed her expectations to the School of Management. She hoped that the school could exert the advantage of combination of science and teaching, with the aid of the platform of CAS, cooperate with other research institutes, foster more and more talents, do better in formal schooling and professional training and become a top school of management.
