On October 1st, the 24th Academician Conference of The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World(TWAS)was held in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentine. Professor Zhang Linxiu, won 2013 TWAS Celso Furtado Social Science Award for his outstanding achievements in the research of the rural development of China.
The award was set up by the Brazilian government, and it is mainly for the scientists in developing countries who made outstanding contributions to the development of social and economic science.
The first scientist who won the prize was Ricardo Barros, the world-famous scholar and the scientific consultant of Brazilian president. Prof. Zhang Linxiu was the second scientist who win the award.
