In order to further strengthen the relationship between the MBA alumni and School of Management and to establish better service platform for the alumni, the 2006 and 2007 MBA alumni homecoming activity was held on Nov. 23rd.
The whole activity began at 9:00 am in Room S106, Zhongguancun teaching building. Although the weather was very cold on that day, most of the alumni came half hour in advance.
Glad to Meet Again
As the hostess, Associate Dean, Professor Zhao Hong chaired the activity. She introduced the important guests to all the alumni first. Vice President of UCAS, Professor Wang Ying, Director of the UCAS Alumni Association, Mr. Hua Guang, Deputy General Manager of Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd., Mr. Suo Ji Shuan, Executive Dean of School of Management, Professor Wang Shouyang, Professor Wei Xianhua, Professor Dong Jichang, and some other professors of School of Management attended the event.
In the presentation session, Vice President of UCAS, Professor Wang Ying, on behalf of UCAS, made the beginning speech. She mentioned that, the change of the name of the university, the establishment of the UCAS alumni web and the move to the Yanqi new Campus are the three main changes of the university during the last year. She encouraged the alumni to return to the university more often and to share their experiences with the students. After that, Director of the UCAS Alumni Association, Mr. Hua Guang highly appreciated the alumni event of School of Management. Professor Wang Shouyang showed his gratitude towards the alumni and also proposed some further cooperation that the school and alumni could do together. In addition, some representatives of the alumni also shared their working experiences and showed their gratitude to the university.
