The founding ceremony of four research centers, namely, Research Center for China Enterprise Management, Research Center for China Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Reseach Center for China Regional Development, and Research Center for China Industries, was held at School of Management, UCAS on the morning of Dec. 7. Media such as Science and Technology Daily, Sina, CETV, China Science, Study Times, Economic Daily, Guangming Daily, NetEase, ChinaNet, and International Broadcasting witnessed this important event.
Dean of School of Management, Prof. Cheng Siwei, Vice President of UCAS, Prof. Wang Ying, Director of the Agricultural Policy Research Center of CAS, Prof. Huang Jikun, Prof. Liu Chengfang, Prof. Wang Jue from Mathematics and Systems Science Research Institute of CAS, Prof Fan Ying from Policy and Management Science Research Institute of CAS, Vice President of Chongqing Green Intelligent Technology Research Institute, Prof. Gao Peng, Executive Dean of School of Management, Prof. Wang Shouyang, Vice President of School of Management, Prof. Zhao Hong, Vice President of School of Management, Prof. Dong Jichang, Party Secretary of School of Management, Prof. Wei Xianhua, Prof. Guan Jiancheng, Prof. Shi Minjun, Prof. Xu Yanmei, Prof. Zhang Jianfan and other members of each newly founded research centers attended the ceremony.
Prof. Wang Shouyang first introduced the background of setting up four research centers. Then Prof. Cheng Siwei explained the significance of setting up the research centers, which is an important measure of furthering the integration between the Schools and the Reseach Institutes of CAS.He hoped that the research centers would make leading findings. Prof. Wang Ying also delivered a speech. She congratulated on the foundation of the four centers, introduced the measures that UCAS took to implement the integration between the Schools and Research Centers of CAS. She believed that the foundation of the four research centers would make School of Management a platform of Integration of Science and Education, pushing the research and education at UCAS and research centers of CAS to a new stage.
In the warm applause of the participants, Prof. Chen Siwei and Prof. Wang Ying together unveiled the nameplates for the four research centers. The four centers were officially founded.
After the ceremony, Prof. Zhao Hong, Prof. Guan Jiancheng, Prof. Huang Jikun, Prof. Shi Minjun, and Prof. Fan Ying spoke on behalf of each research center. They introduced the basic situations, members, goals, research fields, operating mechanism, and the future development plans of the centers, so that people could have an in-depth understanding of each center.
