ACES Secretariat Inauguration Ceremony and ACES Forum were held in Chengdu and Xiamen

Dean Assistant, Associate Professor Lu Ping, and staff from International cooperation office went to Chengdu and Xiamen to attend the Alliance of Chinese and European Schools (ACES) Secretariat inauguration ceremony and the ACES Forum on Dec. 6.

ACES was co-foundered by Prof. Cheng Siwei, Dean of School of Management and the president of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) Mr. Eric Cornuel. It aims to promote the collaboration between Chinese and European Business Schools.

 

The Secretariat of ACES is located in the Southwest University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China. The Representatives from School of Management and other 19 ACES member schools attended the inauguration ceremony. Following the Launching Ceremony held in May 2013, the inaugural ceremony this time is another big event for ACES. It aims to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation between member schools.

 

During the inaugural ceremony and the subsequent Forum held in Xiamen University, several keynote speeches and panel discussions were held. Under the topic of "transformation of the contemporary international management education" and the “Development of the Management Education”, the representatives shared their values and proposed some in-depth opinions. They also discussed the potential cooperative program that could be conducted upon the ACES platform.
