Prof. Liu Yuanzhang received a letter from Mr. John C. Timmerman, Chairman of American Society for Quality on Dec. 23, which congratulated Prof. Liu on his winning Lancaster Medal 2014. The Medal was granted once a year to those who made significant contributions in the field of quality management. Up till now, Prof. Liu has won three international medals in quality. The other two were Feigenbaum Medal and Ishikawa Medal.
ASQ’s estimate of Prof. Liu was: For so long he has devoted himself to promoting the level of quality management in China and even the whole Asia, so that the quality management promotion plan he established has become an industry policy with high priority in China, and his research findings have improved living quality of the whole society.
The awards ceremony would be held on May 4, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Prof. Liu Yuanzhang would present a speech on the meeting then.
