The Consulting Program for Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Park, “The Development and Potential Analysis of the Key Part of Electronic Science and Technology Park” was launched on Dec. 25th, 2013. This program, was hosted by Professor Xu Yanmei, and the members of the research group include Zheng Dan, Jin Yuning, Lei Lei, Zhang Guoqiang, Ruan Yajie, etc.
Zhongguancun National Innovation Zone is a sample of Chinese reform and opening policy. At present, it has been developed as a zone with sixteen separate parks. It locates in the Northeast part of Beijing, and has become the main information technology industry innovation base of Chaoyang District after more than ten years of development.
The research group will have an in-depth analysis about the status-quo about the Innovation Zone, and will forecast the potential development of the zone. It will not only summarize the key function, development mode, operating characteristics, successful experiences and existing problems of the zone; but also look for the bottleneck and the restrictive factors for the further development of the zone through a comparative study of domestic and foreign industrial clusters. Finally, it will provide suggestions to the zone according to all the analysis and some relevant theory and policy.
This research will provide decision-making reference to the overall development strategy of Beijing City, the industrial layout adjustment and the transformation of old industrial bases.
