The First Entrepreneurial Salon Was Held

The first entrepreneurial Salon for innovation and entrepreneurship MBA in School of Management was held in the classroom N308 of Zhong Guancun Campus on February 28th.

 

The Entrepreneurial Salon is a new attempt for innovation and entrepreneurship MBA. It is planned every two weeks for a total of 10 times this semester. The topic of the salon will be mainly around the business experience and policies/regulations. It will cover entrepreneurship experience sharing, the interpretation of national policies/regulations and legal risk, personnel management, financial management, leadership, coaching, etc. All of these will help students prepare for their Entrepreneurial plan.

 

This first salon was hosted by the Executive Director of innovation and entrepreneurship MBA project. He introduced the innovation and entrepreneurship MBA project and the entrepreneurship and venture investment club. Besides, he also highly appreciated the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship of the students.

 

Mr. Shiyan, who has more than 8 years of entrepreneurial experience in FMCG industry, was invited to share the experience with all the students. After eight-year- entrepreneurship, Mr. Shiyan has 7 stores, which include silk shop, bar and Coffee hall. Besides, he also helped more than 50 others to have their own business.

The salon lasted for more than 3 hours, more than 30 students who came from the school of management, National Science Institute of computing technology, the Alumni Association, Beijing University and Tsinghua University participated in the salon. Mr. Shi helped open the thinking of the students; he shared his experience in cost accounting, operations management, failure experience, business plan review. All of his sharing gave students deep impression.

 

After the salon, the students highly appreciated the first salon. They also suggest extending the time of the salon next time in order to give the teachers and students more time to exchange and communicate.
