On the 5th International Conference on Computer, Communication, and Control held in Oradea, Romania on May 7, Prof. Shi Yong, Vice Dean of School of Management was conferred Doctor Honoris Causa of Agora University, Romania by Adriana Manolescu, Chairman of the board of directors of Agora University.

The electoral committee of the university’s Doctor Honoris Causa was made up of prominent scholars from U.S.A., Russia, China, Brazil and Romania. The committee was chaired by academician Flori-Gheorghe Filip, ex-vice president of Romania Academy of Sciences. On the conferring ceremony, Filip reviewed outstanding contributions made by Prof. Shi Yong in the fields of multi-objective decision, optimization data mining and intelligence crossing. Shi Yong was listed as No. 3 among scholars in the field of business intelligence and analysis in the world by famous American journal 《MISQ》 in 2012. 300 papers of his had been cited by Google for more than 4000 times, and 100 journal articles of his had been cited by ISI Web of Science for over 1000 times.
