The 7th UCAS Post-Doctor Academic Forum was held at Quyuan Campus on June 18. Prof. Su Gang, Vice President of UCAS chaired the opening ceremony of the forum. He pointed in his speech that the university paid great attention to the cultivation of post doctors. In recent years, post doctors had become important reserve force on the teaching and researching posts.
After the opening ceremony, Mr Zhao Zhan, Researcher at Institute of Electronics, CAS, and Mr. Dong Jichang, Professor at School of Management, UCAS, each made a report on the forum. Zhao Zhan introduced the application of wearable sensor technology and sensing methods in the field of health management. Dong Jichang analyzed recent trends of the real estate market by reference to the newest macro-economic data.
After the reports, 40 post doctors from 12 schools, labs and centers shared their research findings, and 11 experts were invited to make comments on the spot. The post doctors made their academic reports in three groups, and the reports covered most disciplines in UCAS such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Architecture, Biology, Computer Science and Technology, Management Science and Engineering, Philosophy, and History of Science and Technology.
Lu Bo, the post doctor from School of Management won the first prize by secret ballot.
