2014 Economy and Management Summer Camp for Undergraduates sponsored by School of Management started on July 14. The opening ceremony was held on Zhongguancun campus in the morning. Over 70 undergraduates from universities all over the country attended the opening ceremony.
Dong Junshe, Vice President of UCAS, made a welcome speech on the ceremony. He introduced UCAS to the campers and hoped the students could realize their dreams in UCAS, the front of science and the palace of knowledge. He also wished the summer camp a success.
Zhao Hong, Vice Dean of School of Management, hoped the campers would treasure the opportunity to sit here at School of Management as they were chosen out of 500 applicants. Then Zhao Hong introduced the arrangement during the summer camp. In the following five days, campers would hear lectures covering finance, management, and economy. They were also arranged to visit CAS research institutes in order to know more about School of Management, UCAS, and CAS.
He Jing from University of Science and Technology Beijing spoke in behalf of all the campers. She was proud to be chosen to take part in the summer camp. She said the experience in the summer camp would be great health in her life.
