At the invitation of Professor Dong Jichang, Vice Dean of School of Management, Professor Andrew Kusiak from the University of Iowa came to School of Management for a visit and made an academic report for the faculty and students of School of Management on the morning of August 6.
The theme of the report was “Big Data: A Powerful Enabler of Intelligent Manufacturing”. In his report, Professor Kusiak introduced upgrading of the manufacturing industry, big data, innovations acquired from big data, and application of big data in the manufacturing industry. He said that the development of big data and information technology was of great significance to the real economy, especially the development of manufacturing industry.
Professor Andrew Kusiak is Dean of School of Machinery and Industrial Engineering. His research area includes application of computational intelligence in energy, produce development, manufacturing industry, and medical science.
