On the 25th of August, School of Management and CAS Xinjiang Institute jointly held a high-level forum in Xinjiang. The theme of the forum was Opportunities and Challenges of Social Harmony Governance and New Silk Road Economic Zone Development Strategy.
Well-known scholars and experts were invited to speak at the forum on difficult and hot issues of economic and social development in Xinjiang. Mr. Shan Chunchang, Advisor of the State Council, made a report entitled Social Emergency Management and Anti-terrorism. Mr. Li Shantong, Deputy Chairman of China Input-Output Association, spoke on Periodic Changes of China’s Economy and Strategic Significance of Silk Road Zone Cooperation. Professor Shi Minjun from School of Management, UCAS reported on Regional Rebalance of Chinese Economy and development of New Silk Road Zone. Dean Gao Zhigang of School of Economics of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economic spoke on Considerations on Constructing New Silk Road Economic Zone. Mr. Wang Boli, Deputy Director of Planning Design Management Center of Xinjiang Transport Department, made a report on Layout of Silk Road Economic Zone and International Channels Construction. Mr. Ma Pinyan, Executive Director of National Religion Research Center of Xinjiang Academy of Social Sciences, spoke on Analysis of Anti-terrorism in Xinjiang.
