On the afternoon of Sept. 10, the lecture “Decision Science and Art” was held at Zhongguancun Campus. Professor Gao Qiang from National Cheng Kung University was invited to make a report to the students and teachers of the School of Management.
Professor Gao started from the interesting cases in our daily life, and vividly explained the difference between science and art in decision. He told the audience how to combine science and art to solve the decision problems in the complex environment. He also shared his experience of improving creativity with the audience: more listening, more reading, more writing, and more observing.
After the report, Executive Dean Wang Shouyang made a summary and issued the honorary professor certificate to Gao Qiang on behalf of the School of Management.
Professor Gao Qiang is former President of National Cheng Kung University, and Chair Professor of Industry and Information Management Department. He is mainly engaged in the research of decision analysis and DEA.
