On the 2014 award ceremony of Fudan Premium Fund of Management held on Nov. 29, Dean Cheng Siwei, the well-known economist, Father of China’s Venture Capital, was conferred Fudan Life Achievement Award in Management.
Cheng Siwei proposed the discipline structure of “three basis, three levels, and three domains” for Chinese management science, which influenced the Chinese management science greatly. He is the pioneer of Chinese virtual economic theories and application. He constructed the fundamental theories and methodology system of virtual economy, set up the discipline of virtual economy, and drove the development of virtual business in China.
Cheng Siwei actively research the development of venture capital in China, and researched the major issues existing in China’s reform and development using complexity method.
He also devoted himself into the training of management talent in China. For years, he had supervised a lot of students, most of whom had become famous academic leaders, enterprise leaders, and government officials.
