The latest edition of the Winter Bulletin of United States Academy of Engineering The Bridge recently published academic album "A Global View of Big Data”. The Vice Dean of School of Management, Prof. SHI Yong was invited as the Chief Editor of the academic album.
During the past one and half year, Prof. Shi invited fourteen scholars from China, US, UK, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Spain, Romania, Hong Kong respectively. They discussed the development situation, the challenge, and the trend of the big data in different countries and regions.
According to reports, the seven articles in the academic album mainly talked about the theory, model, and the application of the data science and the promotion that each government has done for the development of data science. They fully described the development situation of global data and will be helpful to promote the expansion and deepening of big data and data science.
