On the afternoon of Jan. 23, Press Release on 2015 China Economic Forecast & Forum on 2015 China’s Economy was successfully held at Siyuan Lecture Hall of AMSS. The activity was hosted by CEFS (Center for Forecasting Science) and co-sponsored by China Economic Net, Science Press, Key Laboratory of Management, Decision and Information Systems, CAS, and School of Management, UCAS. Professor Wang Shouyang, Executive Dean of School of Management, Director of CEFS, Mr. Wang Xudong, President of China Economy Net, Professor Chen Xikang, Deputy Director of Academic Committee of CEFS, Professor Ren Ruoen from Beihang University, Mr. Zhu Baoliang, Director of Economy Forecast Department and Chief Economist of State Information Center, Professor Li Xuesong, Deputy Director of Institute of Quantitative & Technical Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and other guests attended the activity. Nearly 30 media were present.
Wang Shouyang address on the press release first. He expressed his gratitude to people for their long-term support to CEFS. Professor Wang said, many world forecasting institutions were going in for economic forecast though it was quite difficult. CEFS did a good job in the past 9 years, and its forecasting reports and policy suggestions had attracted great attention from the government. In the future, CEFS would continuously make innovations and make use of scientific modeling technology and methodology to make the forecast results more scientific so as to not only support the scientific decisions of the state, but also let the public and more and more enterprises and research institutions learn and understand the trend of China macroeconomy and development of China’s industries.
Wang Xudong also addressed on the press release. He congratulated on the 10th press release of CEFS. In Wang Xudong’s opinion, economic forecast was an important link in perfecting China’s market economic system and had been making contributions to the healthy development of China’s economy. As an important think-tank in the field of China’s economy and social development research, it published a lot of important research reports and data, providing important basis for big decisions made by the state and the governments, and providing decision reference for enterprises meanwhile. Wang Xudong hoped to have more and closer cooperation with CEFS in the future.
Following that, Chen Xikang released Forecast on China’s 2015 GDP Growth Rate. Yang Xiaoguang released Forecast on China’s 2015 Investment, Consumption, Foreign Trade and Prices. Yang Cuihong released Forecast on China’s 2015 Agriculture and Industry, World Commodity Prices, and Water Demand by Sectors. Dong Jichang released Forecast on China’s 2015 Real Estate Prices and Logistics Industry.
On the Forum on 2015 China’s Economy, Zhu Baoliang, Li Xuesong , and Ren Ruoen shared their opinions with the audience on current economic situation and hot issues.
