On the afternoon of Feb. 10, the signing ceremony of Powersmart Fund was held at School of Management together by UCAS and Powersmart Co. Ltd. Representatives from both sides attended the ceremony and the ceremony was chaired by Prof. Wang Shouyang, Executive Dean of School of Management.
Mr. Dong Junshe, Vice President of UCAS and Vice Chairman of CAS Graduate Education Foundation, made an address on the ceremony. He introduced the main work of the foundation and the use of the donated funds. He also expressed gratitude to Powersmart Co. for the support they gave to UCAS on behalf of the university and the foundation. Dong Junshe said that the donation of Powersmart would not only stimulate teachers to go further on the road of education and research, but also would help the development of education in UCAS and the cultivation of innovative talent.
Mr. Liu Tongxin, President of Powersmart, said that the company was willing to set up a bridge between schools and enterprises through donation. Through the bridge, the enterprise could get impetus for development from the school, and the enterprise could provide a place for teachers and students to practice the theories and learn the society. It was a win-win situation for both sides.
Then Dong junshe and Liu Tongxin signed the donation agreement on behalf of UCAS and Powersmart. Dong Junshe also issued the donation certificate to Poewersmart.
According to the agreement, Powersmart Co. would donate RMB 1,500,000 Yuan to CAS Graduate Education Foundation and set up Powersmart Fund, which would be used to award outstanding teachers in research, teaching and training.
