The lecture “Two Interesting Games & How to Write Scientific Papers” was successfully held on the morning of March 19. The speaker was Professor Fang Shu-Cherng. Fang is Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers，Walter Clark professor of North Carolina State University and Honorary Professor of School of Management, UCAs.
Centering on the theme of the lecture, Prof. Fang introduced academic contributions of John von Neumann, the Knapsach Model, and the Newsvendor Model. He also discussed with the audience how to publish high quality papers, shared his views on questions such as “Review Criteria” and “What’s an Editor Looking for?” He also gave suggestions to the audience on content, structure and language of the papers.
Finally, Prof. Fang answered the questions from the audience, and the lecture was closed in warm applause.
