School of Management organized a meeting on the morning of April 24. More than 20 representatives from the 7 research centers of School of Management attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Executive Dean Wang Shouyang.
Wang shouyang first introduced the research centers and members.There were 7 research centers at present, namely, Research Center for Chinese Business Administration, Research Center for Chinese Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management, Research Center for Chinese Regional Development, Research Center for Chinese Industry, Research Center for Chinese Cyber Economy and Knowledge Management, Research Center for Chinese Financial Engineering, and Research Center for Chinese Economic and Social Security. The research centers fully reflected the characteristics of “Integration between Schools and Research Institutes of CAS”, with two Directors for each center, one from School of Management, and the other from the research institutes. Members of the research centers were also from the two places. Wang Shouyang said that School of Management would provide financial support for each center and encourage the centers to conduct research.
Then Vice Dean Dong Jichang announced the responsibilities of the research centers, regulation for part-time researchers, and regulation for the use of funds. Suggestions on the regulations were invited. The participants had a heated discussion and suggestions were put forward.
Finanlly, Wang Shouyang pointed out that School of Management aimed at being a research-oriented school, and in the future the following standard should become measuring indexes: top teachers, top students, top platform, and top achievements. The School of Management should set goals and make development plans based on these indexes.
