The personnel bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences announced the list of “2015 Overseas Evaluation Expert of CAS”. A total of 50 overseas outstanding scholars were selected. Prof. James M. Tien, who was recommended by the School of Management, UCAS was selected and got support for the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Prof. James M. Tien is a distinguished professor of the University of Miami. He worked as the Dean of Engineering College of University of Miami since 2007. His research areas include system modeling, public policy, decision analysis, and information system. As an internationally renowned scholar, Professor James M. Tien has published a lot of academic papers in several international journals. Besides, he is also the senior member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), INFORMS (The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences), and AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science). He was elected to the fellow of American Academy of Engineering in 2001.
Prof. James M. Tien is now the Advisor and the honorary professor of School of Management, UCAS.
