Abstract:  Managers and Engineers oftern need to model the problems facing for further analysis and decision making. A toolbox with up-to-date methodologies may render us more powerful modeling capabilities for better analysis and sounder decisions. Linear conic programming extends the popularly used linear programming models from linearity to non-linearity and from convexity to non-convexity in polynomial-time computations. In this talk, we present some progresses made on linear conic optimization.
